Who are we? We are brothers. In 1996, guitarist Tommy ‘Rocco’ Vavrek (a.k.a Brother Tom) was performing as John Lennon in the nationally recognized rock & roll tribute show, “Legends in Concert.” After growing tired of living in hotels and out of a suitcase, Tommy decided to leave the show and remain in the Atlantic City area. Shortly thereafter, Tom befriended local guitarist Bobby Mower (a.k.a. Brother Bob), and they began playing as a duo in many venues around Atlantic City. While having fun playing as a duo, both Tom and Bob missed performing all the wonderfully lush harmonies associated with many of the songs on their playlist. Enter Joe Schafer (a.k.a Brother Joe). After sitting in with Tom and Bob on several occasions, Joe was asked to join the group ... and as if they were a family reunited, THE ROCCO BROTHERS were born !!! Ever since then, they have been performing classic rock & roll hits, and singing all the great harmonies associated with those songs. What music do we play? All the classics. From Frankie Ford to Mr. Frank Sinatra, from Johnny Cash to John Lennon, from the Byrds to the Beatles, from the Kinks to the Stones, THE ROCCO BROTHERS play all your favorite songs, as well as classic hits from such greats as the Eagles, James Taylor, Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Van Morrison, the Everly Brothers, the Bee Gees, Bob Marley, and many, many more. Whatever the genre of music you love, THE ROCCO BROTHERS will transcend you back in time to the great hits of the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. Where do we appear? With the classic sounds of great music and lush harmonies, we have established a strong following of fans and supporters in the Atlantic City area, and they love to come to our performances.
